Holi Turned Me Holy

Holi fire spreads around

I picked the seeds of ANGER

And spilled them on ground

As the seeds turned black in burning flame

Deep down inside me PEACE made a claim.

Holi fire spreads around

I picked the seeds of GREED

And spilled them on ground

As the seeds turned black in burning flame

Deep down inside me CHARITY began.

Holi fire spreads around

I picked the seeds of JEALOUSY

And spilled them on ground

As the seeds turned black in burning flame

Deep down inside me TOLERANCE came.

Holi fire spreads around

I picked the seeds of REVENGE

And spilled them on ground

As the seeds turned black in burning flame

Deep down inside me GRACE exclaimed.

As the darkness inside me

Dispelled in front of burning flames

A new me came out from spinning frame

I embraced the world with open arms and

Prayed for LOVE & PEACE to prevail.
